ADHD Assessment | Children, Adolescents & Young Adults

Enlightened Minds Psychology Assessments provides comprehensive ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. Depending on your child’s individual needs, assessments may include:

  • Parent intake appointment (1 hour appointment)

  • Cognitive assessment (1 hour 30 minute appointment)

  • ADHD interview (1 hour appointment)

  • ADHD questionnaires

  • School observation (1 hour appointment)

  • Parent feedback appointment (1 hour appointment)

  • Comprehensive report

ADHD assessments are conducted at our practice in Wantirna. We also offer a mobile service, allowing assessments to take place at your child’s school in nearby suburbs such as Bayswater, Knox, Ringwood, and Heathmont. We’re also happy to visit schools in more distant suburbs; however, a travel fee may apply.

An ADHD assessment is an exploration of ADHD features only and does not provide your child with a formal diagnosis. A Paediatrician or Psychiatrist is required to formalise a diagnosis of ADHD with the information provided from the assessment.

You do not need a referral to book an ADHD assessment, but if you have one, feel free to share it with us. Similarly, a Paediatrician does not need to be involved to begin the process. However, if your child is already seeing a Paediatrician, we are happy to collaborate and work together towards a shared understanding.
